The English Education Study Program successfully conducted an online meeting via Google Meet on Tuesday, September 16, 2025, to finalize the preparations for the upcoming practicum in the even semester of the 2025 academic year.
The meeting was attended by the Head of the Study Program, practicum coordinators, supervising lecturers, and administrative staff. During the session, key points of discussion included the practicum schedule, distribution of supervising lecturers, assigned schools, as well as technical guidelines for the implementation process which is integrated with the core of disciplines of English Education: Language Skills, Linguistics, Literatures, TEFL and Micro Teaching.
In his opening remarks, the Head of the Study Program (Dr. Bambang Ruby ) inline with The Head of Language Laboratory (Andi Rustandi, M.Pd) emphasized the importance of coordination and readiness to ensure the smooth running of the practicum. “This practicum is a critical component of our students’ professional development. It is essential that we provide them with the best support and guidance throughout the process,” He stated.
The coordinators (as the lecturers) also addressed potential challenges in the field and shared solutions to ensure effective communication between all stakeholders. The meeting concluded with a Q&A session and a mutual commitment to maintain close coordination during the practicum period.
The practicum is scheduled to begin later this month, with students being deployed to various skills to apply their teaching skills in real classroom settings.
