English Practicum
This course focuses on the practical application of English language skills through hands-on practice. It goes beyond theory by emphasizing the real use of the language in various contexts. The practicum is integrated with courses in the four core areas of English Language Education: Language Skills, Linguistics, Literature, and TEFL and Micro Teaching. It demonstrates how language is used to strengthen students’ theoretical understanding through practice-based and technology-assisted activities.

1. Language Skills (Listening, Speaking, Reading, Writing)
The practicum supports the development of language skills through the use of interactive software, audio-visual media, and a digital language laboratory. Students are able to:

Practice listening through native speaker audio recordings and computer-based exercises.

Engage in speaking practice with voice recordings and automated feedback.

Enhance reading skills using interactive digital texts with built-in glossaries.

Improve writing skills through grammar and writing style correction platforms.

TOEFL listening section simulation

2, Linguistics (Phonology, Morphology, Syntax, Semantic, Pragmatics
Description:
The practicum is used as a space for exploring linguistic phenomena through linguistic software and corpus data. Students analyze language structure, phonetic features, and meaning based on real-world data.
Practicum Activities:
- Phonetic analysis using Praat software (for sound visualization and analysis)
- Morphological and syntactic analysis of sentences using corpus texts
- Pragmatic studies through dialogue interpretation and interactive videos
- Semantic discussions based on authentic texts from mass media
3. Literature (Prose, Poetry and Drama)
Practicum Activities:

4. TEFL and Micro Teaching
Description:
This practicum serves as a platform for microteaching practice and the exploration of foreign language teaching strategies. Students design and implement lesson plans (RPP) and utilize digital media to support the teaching and learning process.
