LANGUAGE AND LITERATURE LABORATORY
FACULTY OF TEACHER TRAINING AND EDUCATION – GALUH UNIVERSITY

The Language and Literature Laboratory of the Faculty of Teacher Training and Education, Galuh University, proudly announces the upcoming Practicum event, which this year carries the theme “Teaching Local Wisdom Through Literature in Southeast Asia.” This academic forum aims to highlight the vital role of local wisdom as a foundation for literary education and cultural understanding across the Southeast Asian region.

This year’s practicum will feature a distinguished international speaker from STI West Negros University, Philippines, Dr. Nieves Vaz H. Pepito, the Head of the Communication Program. Dr. Pepito will share valuable insights on how literature serves as a powerful medium for introducing cultural values and preserving local identity among learners.

In addition to the international guest speaker, the event will also present several expert lecturers from Galuh University who serve as practicum instructors in the field of language and literature, including:

  • Lilies Youlia F., S.S., M.Pd.BI

  • Dr. R. Bunga Febriani, S.S., M.Hum.

  • Sirodjul Munir, Drs., M.M.

  • Dr. Andri Noviadi, S.Pd., M.Pd.

The session will be moderated by Andi Rustandi, M.Pd., who also contributes as a presenter. He currently serves as the Head of the Language and Literature Laboratory and plays an active role in fostering innovative and internationally oriented academic programs.

This practicum event is scheduled to be held on December 2, 2025. It is designed to provide students, educators, and participants with enriched perspectives on literature-based teaching approaches rooted in local cultural wisdom.
